Refund policy

 

Returns:

JDL Auto Design (hereafter “JDL”) custom ordered manufactured parts are non-refundable once the order has been processed.  To return an unused in-stock production part please contact JDL for an RMA # within 5 business day from the date the product is delivered. Depending on the part a 10%-20% restocking fee will be charged for returned inventory parts.

Order Cancellations:

Payment processing fees & shipping fees for cancelled orders are not refunded.

Warranty:

All JDL manufactured parts do come with a life-time warranty to the original owner/purchaser when purchased directly through JDL.  Warranty items must first be returned for inspection before a claim can be fulfilled.  Warranty will not cover misuse or improper installation of the part and it will not apply to any damage caused by collision.  While the repair is complimentary, the buyer will pay for shipping both ways and may request JDL to provide discounted shipping labels. Additionally, if the item is powder coated, new coating fees will apply.

All parts not manufactured by JDL will follow the manufacturer’s warranty.

Installation of automotive performance parts is an option, not a necessity.  It is also a process; things can go wrong.  JDL will not pay for any labor or “inconvenience” charge in any warranty claim.  

If the return falls under a warrantied item a return shipping label will be provided for the warrantied part only.  If we determine that the “damage” is not a warranty item (i.e caused by negligence, improper install, collision, etc. ), we will be more than happy to give an estimate for repair which will also include shipping to and from JDL.  

We do not provide International return shipping or cover taxes and other import/export duties.

Lifetime warranty does not apply to ceramic coatings as they are a wear item and naturally break down over time from heat cycling.  Your coated piece may at some time require re-coating although most will never need to, it depends on how the (header) is used and the environments it is exposed to.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunding and Transaction Fees:

JDL is not responsible for any transaction fees that are not under our control and may be incurred as part of the refund process.  JDL can only refund a maximum of the amount received in the currency that the product is listed.  Any payment process transaction fees, currency exchange fees or currency fluctuations are the sole responsibility of the customer.  Additionally, to any other fees, any non-refundable third-party payment processor fees that are incurred by JDL during the transaction will be deducted from refunds processed.

ALL refunds (partial or full) will be subject to a payment processor fee deduction which is passed directly from us from the payment processing company.  The payment processor fee will depend on the original payment location, payment method used and amount but most will fall in the 3% range.

All International orders are final sale. Prior to ordering, please verify that parts are compliant with your country's sound and emission regulations.
